About.
Vicky Sindac Gomez is an architecture and urban designer working at the intersection of social equity, sustainability, and people-centered design. Her practice is grounded in careful listening and contextual research, exploring how architecture and urban systems can operate as both civic and ecological tools in response to humanitarian, social, and environmental challenges. She is particularly drawn to sustainability-driven and resilience-focused projects that engage underserved communities, translating complex social and ecological conditions into clear, purposeful, and inclusive spatial strategies addressing issues such as housing inequity, resource access, and climate vulnerability.
Her research has been recognized through the William Kinne Fellows Traveling Prize, awarded on the merit of proposals supporting international travel and research in architecture, planning, and related disciplines. The fellowship supported travel-based research abroad, enabling the study of architectural and urban conditions across diverse cultural, political, and economic contexts. She has also served as a Teaching Assistant, supporting core studios and reinforcing her commitment to pedagogy and collaborative learning.
Vicky holds a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design (MSAUD ‘25) from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation (GSAPP) and a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch ‘24) with a Minor in Ecological Practices from the California College of the Arts.
